Finland travel route: The Viking trail

Do you think the Vikings places can be found only in Norway or Ireland? It turns out that in Finland there is a Vikings archipelago, and some islands are still inhabited with Vikings descendants! The eastern route of the Vikings passed through the southern islands of Finland. The remains of settlements are found there and even Vikings village is restored on the Rosala island.

Lamb is covering with golden crust. Baked potatoes are soaking with meat juice... This delicious dish can be enjoyed in the village of Lemi, only 25 km from Lappeenranta, Finland.


Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis: places and time to see it

Northern Finland (Lapland) above the Arctic Circle - a place where you can see the northern lights in late autumn (late September), during all winter or early spring (till the end of March). Northern Lights is easier to see than you can imagine!
