Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi, northern Finland, is one of the main attractions, and for many people it is the main reason to visit Finland.

2. ARCTIC CIRCLE

This is the magical line. Close your eyes and cross the Arctic Circle line. Endless expanses of snow and icy breath of the North appear in your imagination.
In is possible to get "Certification of crossing Arctic Circle" for a small fee at the Santa Village.
Or you can arrange your own improvisation: stand on "Southern" side of the Polar circle line, count one-two-three and jump on "Northern" side. Congratulations, you are almost in the Arctic! Now it is time to open the champagne and celebrate great overcoming.

3. HEAD OFFICE OF SANTA CLAUS
The most visited place in the village of Santa Claus is the head office of the wizard. It is possible to meet Santa there, to touch his famous beard, to find out the weather forecast for the coming winter, to talk about your successes and make a wish at any day of the year (and as we have said before, for free).

Santa's office is open at least from 10.00 to 17.00 (during some holidays to 15.00). In the summer and during the Christmas and New Year holidays office and Santa village may be open a little longer.
There is magical and mysterious corridor leading to the fabulous Santa Claus room. At the entrance you will meet Santa's elf who will ask you in what language Santa should try to talk to you. As a magician, Santa can find a common language with children in almost all languages.
It is forbidden to take pictures and videos with Santa Claus at his special room with fireplace. (this applies to the main room of Santa, where he hosts).
Staff will offer you professional photos or video.
Santa's important job all year round is to read letters from around the world and to respond to them. Santa s Post Office on the Arctic Circle gets more than half a million letters each year.

Do not miss Santas post at the Village. At the post office you can buy postcards, souvenirs made in Finland. A lot of elves are working there to help Santa.

It is possible to send magic postcards and letters to family and friends from the Santa Claus post and Arctic Circle.
If you want a postcard to be sent immediately put it in the orange box (Heti, Today). If you want your greetings come for Christmas, put your letter in the red box (Jouluksi, For Christmas).

4. CHRISTMAS HOUSE
There is Christmas house at the Santa village (Joulutalo). It is a large gift shop, Christmas exhibition and a cafe-restaurant.

A huge number of gifts, souvenirs and nice items produced in Finland, as well as special Lappish products, clothing and reindeer skins are sold there.

This, of course, not the only souvenir shop in the Santa village. There is a huge amount of them and in each one you can find something interesting.
Among the shops you can find designer shops and famous Finnish and Lapland brands outlets — Marttiini, Iittala, Taigakoru è Marimekko.
It is easy to spend the whole day and spend a fortune in the Santas village stores.
5. SNOWMAN ICE WORLD
Ice World of Snowmen opens every winter in the in the village of Santa Claus. Here you can have a lot of fun riding on the sledges.

There is an ice bar with strong drinks for adults there (extra fee for drinks). Here you can find also Ice Hotel, where it is possible to stay overnight in a snow room and get some feelings of ice exotic and thrills.
6. REINDEERS AND SAFARIS
There is one small reindeer farm right behind the head office of Santa Claus. It is open during winter season. Here you can meet real Saami.
You are warmly welcome to order a small reindeer safari in a sleigh. Just do not touch the horns of a reindeer.
It is very sensitive to the animal and reindeer can not seriously angry about it.

7. HUSKY AND HUSKY SAFARIS
A little apart from main territory of the Santa village there is husky dogs farm located. It is possible to buy entrance ticket there and just walk aroung and meet with dogs as well as to book husky safaris.

10. WHERE SANTA CLAUS VILLAGE IS LOCATED?
Santa Claus Village is located 7 km north from the center of Rovaniemi on the E75 highway.
Santa village can be reached by taxi or bus number 8 from Rovaniemi.
A taxi price from Rovaniemi city center to Santa village is approximately 25ˆ.
Bus number 8 goes from the train / railway station. One-way ticket costs about 3,80ˆ per person.
Bus runs every half an hour or every hour.

By the way, there is an underground theme park named Santa Park in 1 kilometer from the Santa village.
There is an entrance fee to the Santa Park. Park can be reached on foot or by car.
